I don’t care for expensive cars or $5,000 suits.
I don’t want to live in a big house that takes another person to clean.
I have no interest in titles, status, or high ranking positions.
Those are things that subtract from life.
To me, the real life luxuries are easy to get, but difficult to choose.
It’s being able to sleep in whenever I want, to move at my own time and pace.
To spend 3 hours with a friend over coffee, without glacing at the clock.
To swim in the sea and feel the waves push me toward the present moment.
To have my breath taken away by a sentence in a book.
Or just, to embrace a loved one.
These are the things that add to life.
The true luxuries I’m after.
