I don’t care for expensive cars or $5,000 suits.
I don’t want to live in a big house that takes another person to clean.
I have no interest in titles, status, or high ranking positions.
Those are things that subtract from life.
To me, the real life luxuries are easy to get, but difficult to choose.
It’s being able to sleep in whenever I want, to move at my own time and pace.
To spend 3 hours with a friend over coffee, without glacing at the clock.
To swim in the sea and feel the waves push me toward the present moment.
To have my breath taken away by a sentence in a book.
Or just, to embrace a loved one.
These are the things that add to life.
The true luxuries I’m after.
The simple things in life are the very best
Chris.
When one reflects on life then we can see the true Meaning of the true valuable time one
has had with family friend, adventures, and it isn’t the money ( but having enough helps) that is for sure the learning is the important part they help one grow.

Hi Harry, thanks for the comment.
Yes the older I get the more I come to see that health, peace of mind and relationships contribute much more to quality of life than having more money.
As someone who’s been there and back more than once, more money doesn’t contribute much to contentment beyond a very limited threshold.
