Urgent Announcement – August 28

Dear members,
Ever since the Pip Mavens Inner Circle was secretly launched in June 2009, we have been enjoying each others’ company and trade ideas.
In July, we opened up a few more membership slots, and they were all snapped up within two weeks. We were having a lot more fun trading by then.
And now in August, we have finally opened our doors to the mass public…
… and we have so many people signing up…
… that our current server cannot keep up with the CPU load required to run the membership
(I swear I’m not making this up)
I honestly did not expect so many membership seats to be taken up so quickly, and got caught by surprise when my support staff called me (just hours ago) to inform me that “all hell has broken loose” in our back-office.
So here’s what’s happening right now:
1) We have a large number of new members
(our membership cap is almost hit)
2) Our server is now apparently having problems running the membership site with so many new members
(it’s taking a lot more computer resources that we had originally anticipated)
3) We will be moving our operations to a bigger, more powerful server this weekend to meet our increased need for more computer resources
(the new server will cost 11 times more than the current one – ouch! But you guys are worth it :-D )
Okay so here’s the deal – You may experience some slow-ness when accessing this site today and tomorrow, so please bear with it for now. When the new server is installed and running, all members will have a much better (i.e. smoother) experience with the site. Everything will be fully installed and running by Monday morning.

And we will get everything sorted out for you. (if you are having problems logging in, please provide us with your purchase receipt number and your preferred login username – this will facilitate the process so we can get everything set up for you quickly).
I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to everyone who will be inconvenienced by this. We had absolutely no idea that a membership site would take up this much server resources, and are now working overnight to rectify the problem (it is 4:06am now – I love my sleep… but like I said, you guys are worth it :-D)
Please rest assured that everything will be up and running smoothly before you can say “abbracadabraaa show me the pips”. Okay. sorry. I think I need more coffee.

Hi, I became a new member at 0600 GMT August 28 and the site works fine for me. No delays at all. Am anxious to learn and am looking forward to next week’s work. Enjoy this weekend.
